I have always had a strong affinity for the arts. Photography first attracted my interest in my teens as I became more and more fascinated by capturing light on film and paper. At college, I served as a photojournalist for the Oxford University weekly newspaper, and began addressing the challenges of nature photography while on expedition in Borneo. In later years, while raising a family and pursuing a science and business career, I used photography as a launch pad to develop skills in sketching and painting.
Since the beginning of the digital revolution in art, I combined an aptitude for computers and technology with my artistic repertoire, using the computer as an aid and stimulus. With the evolution of fluid and flexible software tools such as Photoshop® (Adobe) and Painter® (Corel), I can endlessly experiment, correct, refine, and create high quality photographic images.
When I moved to Santa Fe five years ago, my full focus turned to developing my creative arts. I have developed a thriving commercial photography business that specializes in capturing artwork, places, products, and people for individuals, businesses, and organizations in our local area. I am committed to providing a reliable, high quality, price-competitive service to my clients.
My studio is located twenty minutes south of downtown Santa Fe near the Turquoise Trail. It is fully equipped with controlled lighting, backdrops, printers, and a wide variety of the highest quality professional digital photography equipment.
